An accomplished leader with senior management experience in the public and private sector livestock management in diverse areas including animal health, animal production, animal nutrition and small and medium scale dairy, beef and poultry enterprise development. Dr. Kahiu is a trained veterinarian and registered veterinary surgeon, having served as a National Chairman of the Kenya Veterinary Association as well as a Vice President representing Africa in The World Veterinary Association. He is a seasoned development project manager. Dr. Kahiu has co-authored three publications: Innovation Africa – Enriching Farmers Livelihoods, Farmer First Revisited: Innovation for Agricultural Research and Development and Incentives and disincentives for stakeholder involvement and Participatory Research: Lessons from potato-related participatory research from Bolivia, Ethiopia, Peru and Uganda.

Ms. Bartos’ brings to the Board expertise is in reviewing companies’ financial profiles and determining risk. Ms Bartos has 7 years’ experience in credit risk experience in banking and in the utility industry and 12 years in credit risk monitoring, assessment, investment, accounting and trade support. Ms Bartos is a member of the International Energy Association (IECA) and is active in the Commercial Credit Committee in Ohio, USA. Marty Bartos has two graduate Degrees in Economics and Development studies and an undergraduate degree in Agricultural Engineering.

Ms. Violet Waweru is an experience administrator with a Master in Business Administration from Trinity University, USA and a Higher Diploma in Business Administration. Ms. Waweru has been an administrator in the UNICEF for over 30 years and has supervised, monitored, managed projects and managed multi-million dollar budgets. Ms. Waweru is the Managing Director of Whistling Thorn Schools.

Ms Labiosa has 8 years of analytical problem solving experience. She has a strong grasp on quality control and private sector development.
Ms. Labiosa has a Master of Science, Chemistry University of Texas at Arlington 2009 and a Bachelor of Science, Industrial Chemistry Jomo Kenyatta University 2007. She is Familiar with compliance requirements within cGMP, GLP safety and regulatory environments. Experienced with ICH and FDA guidelines for method development and validation of analytical procedures. Proven team member with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Skilled in analytical problem solving with useful applications. Proficient with analytical and spectroscopic tools such as NMR, FT-IR, HPLC, LC-MS/MS, and UV-Vis in the identification and quantification of chemical compounds.

Patricia Mukuru Kaniu is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya registered with ICPAK and finance professional with over 15 years in the field. Her knowledge in finance is vast having worked both in the private and NGO sector. Currently working as the Finance Manager for Siraga East Africa Limited which covers the East African region and deals with LPG filling line equipment.
She has a strong grasp of finance procedures, financial reporting and analysis, and budget management and grant management. Having worked with various different donors such as World Bank, French Development Agency (AFD) USAID, DANIDA, European Union, SIDA and others in the private and NGO sector she is aware of donor requirements and regulations for budget and grant management.
